I discovered the song on an annette hanshaw album. I waa surprised, I thought this was a 50's song.
Per wikipedia, it was the central love theme of movies in 1949 & 1954.
Annette Hanshaw recorded it in 1934. She does the intro after the 2 verses, bridge, and verse.
Bettie Boop was modeled after Annette Hanshaw.
